In a heartwarming display of compassion and unity, the Chadash Empowerment Foundation hosted a memorable celebration to mark World Orphans Day on November 11, 2023, in the vibrant city of Abuja. Under the resonant theme of "Care for the Uncared," the event brought together a distinguished assembly of dignitaries, senators, honourable members, and influential figures.

A total of 13 orphanage homes graced the occasion with over 200 children, setting the stage for a day filled with empathy, awareness, and meaningful contributions.

The morning started with a symbolic act of unity as Coach Nana led a brief stretching session, emphasizing the importance of coming together for a common cause. This camaraderie was further symbolized by a 1.7km walk at 10 am, underscoring the collective effort needed to address the challenges faced by orphans in society.

Dignitaries present at the event were Honorable Dr Adejare, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, Mrs. Ekaette Akpabio, Wife of the Senate President, ably represented by Mrs.Karimi.

Dignitaries at the event donated in cash and pledged support to the orphans present. Guests also actively pledged funds to chosen orphanages, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the day.

Orphanage homes showcased the children's skills, talents, and emotions, revealing the challenges and triumphs. Presentations included Taekwondo sessions, an original performance by an upcoming artist, and more.

The children enthusiastically participated in various games and activities, including quizzes and board games, with exciting prizes such as tablets, children's tabs, school bags, and other items for grabs. The presence of beloved characters like Bunny, Panda, and Mickey Mouse added an extra layer of joy and excitement, creating a memorable experience for the children.
