Chadash is committed to giving Nigerian Widows and Orphans a voice in the society through economic empowerment, welfare support and advocacy. These individuals are vulnerable and are often treated unfairly in the society, and their livelihood threatened by a litany of socio-cultural beliefs. Our aim is to empower them through skill acquisition, health care services and enlightenment, advocacy programs, and intervene through upgrading physical structures of orphanage homes to meet their social needs.
Chadash is a Hebrew lexicon that literally means Renew, Restore, and Repair. The word encapsulates our purpose and vision to rekindle the hope of less privileged Widows and Orphans in the society.
You are not alone! Chadash is always there to support you. We will endeavour to be with you every step of the journey. We understand that becoming an Orphan or Widow is an unprecedented dynamic of life which requires coping and adjustment. Chadash thrives to relieve your plight and help adjust to this new stage of life, by providing a sustainable livelihood.
To empower the young less-privileged Widows and Orphans in the society by providing vocational training, sustainable livelihood, improved nutrition, emotional support, and advocacy.
Guided by its vision to rekindle the hope of Widows and Orphans, Chadash Foundation implemented key initiatives like the maiden edition of annual International Widows Day celebration and World Orphans Day. As our logo suggests, you are not alone – we will hold your hands while protecting your fundamental human rights and offer you the required skill set to earn a living until you can stand on your own.
